Marcia McGuire

Welcome to Maali Aboriginal Designs, where every piece of art tells a story rooted in the rich cultural heritage of the Whadjuk, Ballardong, Yued - Noongar, and Buddimiya - Yamatji peoples.

As a self-taught artist guided by the teachings of my father Vaughn (Josh) and uncle Barry McGuire, I draw inspiration from my family's deep connections to our land and ancestors.

My mission is to connect our stories with the world, fostering understanding and respect for our culture while honouring those who came before us.

My Story

Here’s a rephrased version in a professional tone: Motivated by my family's traditions and the resilience of my ancestors, I am committed to preserving our stories through my artwork. Since 2017, I have translated my passion into a diverse range of projects, including murals, sculptures, and designs for sports uniforms and corporate apparel, all aimed at showcasing our rich cultural heritage. As a dedicated mother of three daughters, I embrace the ongoing journey of learning, creating, and celebrating the beauty of our traditions.
